The Mommy Chronicles

The change has been brewing for awhile (probably since Cedric moved his studio blog here to WordPress) but I’ve just recently been able to put some time into making the changes and moving over to the new site. We’ve also gotten a new name for our blog. I’ve kept the address simple for those of you (mostly family) who still keep up with us on the blog but I’ve added a little title that tells more what this blog is about…”The Mommy Chronicles”. And so this blog will be a way to chronicle all things “mommy” that go on in my world along with probably some random thoughts just for fun…you get the idea. I like some of the capabilities of this new blog and so look forward to (hopefully) being able to post a little more often.

Until I get everything up and running at top speed, however, I’ll give you the latest cute story on Anna…

Cedric was watching Anna for a few hours on Tuesday while I had a couple meetings at work. When he sat down with her in the kitchen to feed her lunch he flipped on the radio under the cabinet to hear his favorite talk show. Just like commercials on television, the commercials on this particular radio station get noticeably louder. Cedric noticed that after the commercials had been on for a minute or so that Anna had stopped what she was doing and placed her hands over her ears. Since she’s never done this before it took Cedric a moment to realize that she might have been saying “Daddy, I think they need to recalibrate the volume on that commercial as it’s considerably louder than the host’s voice just moments ago.” Well, okay, maybe that wasn’t exactly what she was saying but Cedric reached over and gave the knob a turn down and down came the little hands as well…who knew our little girl hates loud, obnoxious commercials as much as we do!
